Mona Rathmel

Mona began her aviation insurance career in the early 1980’s by joining a large regional aviation insurance brokerage firm where she remained until early 1998 when she joined the ranks of Aero Insurance. Mona’s experience includes cargo and passenger airlines, aerospace manufacturers and large corporate fleets with expertise in PA46 models, turbine, and jet aircraft. She is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Malibu/Mirage Owners and Pilots Association and Vice President and Safety Coordinator for the Malibu/Mirage Safety & Training Foundation. She has also served as past President of Business & Professional Women, member of the Board of Trustees of the Kansas Aviation Museum and has co-chaired their annual air show event. Further, she is a current active member of Women in Aviation, Corporate Women in Aviation, AOPA, TBM Owners and Pilots Association and Pilatus Owners and Pilots Association. Outside of aviation, Mona and her husband, Bud, are avid sports fans, movie buffs and enjoy spending time with their son Brian and daughter-in-law Megan.
