B.J. Goodheart joined AirSure as an Aviation Claims Specialist in October, 2006. He is an active pilot and holds a multi-engine Airline Transport Pilot certificate as well as single / multi / instrument flight instructor and advanced ground instructor ratings. Previously, B.J. managed flight training for an aviation university and worked in aviation safety with the Center for Aerospace Safety Education and with the American Airlines flight safety department. He holds a B.S. in Aeronautical Science and a M.S. in Safety Science.
B.J.’s professional interests include Safety Management System review and development, organizational culture and change management, and advanced modeling for safety risk management. B.J. actively conducts and publishes research in many facets of aviation safety, and he translates this directly into results and support for clients.
B.J. has also participated in several aviation accident investigations from light aircraft to airliners. His experience in working with key members of the FAA, NTSB, and the media are valuable resources for AirSure clients.
B.J. holds a certificate in Aviation Safety Program Management from the Center for Aerospace Safety Education, including certificates in Advanced Accident Investigation for fixed- and rotor-wing aircraft. B.J. is also OSHA certified and NATA Line Service Supervisor trained and is a member of several aviation organizations including the International Society of Air Safety Investigators, AOPA, EAA, and IAC.
B.J. brings a variety of aviation experiences to AirSure, and he serves as a liaison between the claims adjusters and AirSure clients to ensure that claims are processed properly and efficiently.
